Clothing with zippers, pockets, or other accessories that could hurt or injure athletes during the fight is not permitted.

Media credentials are available on a first come, first served basis for all ADCC Open events. Applications can be found under the “Information” tab of each event’s Smoothcomp page. Approvals are issued 2–3 weeks prior to the event. Please note that these credentials are for still photography only, as videography is not
permitted.

Competitors must register in the appropriate skill division based on their experience and competition history.
ADCC reserves the right to move competitors up if prior results show they are competing below their level.
Winning 3 gold medals in a higher division means the athlete cannot move back down, regardless of belt rank.
Winning 5 gold medals in the same division requires the athlete to move up to the next skill level. For youth
competitors, once they win 3 golds in a higher division, they must remain there until they age up. Participation in
ADCC Open events signifies agreement to our Code of Conduct: https://tinyurl.com/ydjtknpx

Yes, weigh ins are mandatory for all competitors.
If you are unable to attend the day before weigh ins, limited same day options are available:
1. Kids & Juveniles: Must weigh in at 6:00 AM. Weigh ins close at 6:15 AM.
2. Adults: Must weigh in no later than 2 hours before their division starts.

A 0.5 kg (1.1 lb) allowance is permitted for all weigh ins.

Competitors must be at their mat at least 15 minutes before their scheduled match time. Match times are live and updated in real time, so please check Smoothcomp throughout the day. If a competitor is not at the mat within 10 minutes of being called, it will count as a loss and the bracket will advance.

The Absolute division runs after all other divisions have concluded. A mandatory roll call is held before the bracket is finalized, typically between 6:00–7:00 PM (subject to change). Competitors who fail to check in at roll call will be removed from the bracket and forfeit their registration fee.
